After a 9-month interim phase, Andreas Thal took over permanent duty from Peter Barkowsky, who handed over operationally on April 1st 2020.
Due to his many years of experience in Service, IT and AGILE Management, Andreas has a great set of experience which perfectly fits to symmedia. Andreas worked at: 1&1, Unitymedia, Telefonica and Siemens to name a view and he is an entrepreneur and founder. This is a good texture to set new standards with symmedia in the IIot environment.
"I am very much looking forward to our new challanges. symmedia has an excellent team of experts. Our essential focus is making our contribution to the digital future and leading symmedia into a new product era. We will have a great time delivering," says Andreas Thal, CEO of symmedia GmbH.
symmedia has been developing service solutions for mechanical engineering since 1997. The symmedia SP/1 software is used as the "Internet of Machines" in over 100 countries. Leading machine and plant manufacturers and operators use symmedia SP/1 as a convenient and secure service portal: Remote Service, Maintenance, Parts and Monitoring are offered proactively directly at the machine. The core of symmedia SP/1 is the secure connectivity and the tunnel technology that make a major contribution to the service digitization strategy of symmedia customers.
Since September 2017, symmedia has been part of the Swiss corporation and machine manufacturer Georg Fischer (GF). Thus, symmedia has the ideal partner directly from the industry at its side. Through the alliance with GF, symmedia's digitization expertise is combined with know-how relating to mechanical and plant engineering and the processing industry.
