Omnipresent on the entire exhibition grounds

3,333 exhibitors from 63 nations exhibited at the world's leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry. 225,000 trade visitors from 165 countries met here. This shows that plastic continues to be an elementary material on which the industry relies.

The symmedia SP/1 Service Portal once again played an important role at this year's K. Many symmedia customers were present at the trade fair as exhibitors and showed how the software works in practice.
Brückner Servtec, for example, is the market leader in the field of film stretching lines and presented smart service including data glasses at the K trade fair. With the help of Smart Glasses, employees in production can take live pictures of defective machines and send them directly to the service technician. There was also an insight into the Equipment Scanner App. With this app the availability, the prices and the delivery time of spare parts can be checked. For Brückner Servtec it was the first big show with the new digital service offers.

The company bielomatik was also represented at the K trade fair. They are specialists for the development and manufacture of solutions in the fields of plastic welding systems and lubrication systems and presented, among others, the symmedia SP/1 Plant App. With the help of this app, the most important key figures for production and service can be called up, independent of time and place.
Kautex is an automotive supplier and manufacturer of plastic containers. It showed the new Remote Service including the parts catalogue. At Kautex, the main focus was on presenting the digital products and obtaining customer feedback.

Bäumer manufactures special machines for foam processing. The visitors got an insight how the Remote Service works live and in practice. The symmedia SP/1 Dashboard, which illustrates the monitoring data collected from the machine (e.g. temperature, pressure, etc.), was also shown, as was the Conference Center App. With the help of the CC app, the familiar symmedia SP/1 Conference Center functions such as (video) call, chat and whiteboard are now also possible from a smartphone.

Vecoplan was previously a specialist in the processing of wood, waste and residual wood and is now also active in the plastics industry. Thus it was the first participation in the K fair in the new industry.
Klöckner-Desma, Sumitomo and Engel also exhibited digital products implemented with symmedia.

"All customers were very satisfied with this year's K trade fair appearance. The digital products are topics of the future that already represent a USP today. These products must not be missed at the K trade fair. Many operators expect digital additions to the machines. This is one of the reasons why symmedia is represented at so many stands". Bernd Bertram from symmedia sums up the trade fair.
